Hong Kong: Justice for LAI Ke

Help free LAI Ke from detention and end the oppression of transgender people in Hong Kong and China.

In an alarming violation of human rights, LAI Ke, a transgender activist, has been unjustly detained in Hong Kong since May 2023. Her only "crime"? Advocating for transgender rights.

LAI Ke's case is not isolated but a glaring example of the ongoing persecution transgender individuals face under the watch of the Hong Kong and Chinese governments. On her way to Canada, LAI Ke was arrested and has since been denied legal representation, access to hormone medication, and subjected to inhumane treatment, including forced cessation of hormone therapy and solitary confinement under absurd accusations.

This case highlights the urgent need for international attention and action against the systemic oppression of transgender people.

By signing this petition, you stand with LAI Ke and the broader transgender community against discrimination and for the respect of human dignity. We call for immediate release of LAI Ke, ensuring her access to necessary medical care, and a cease to the crackdown on transgender individuals.

Your voice can make a difference in the global fight for LGBT+ rights and justice.
